  • Programmers

    This developer has primary responsibility for developing software solutions to meet the requirements for the Digital Application Architecture and Processes, and may interact with the external vendors as necessary. The Developer demonstrates expertise in requirements analysis, system design and development.

    Skill Requirements:

    • Past experience as a frontend developer
    • Expert experience with HTML, cross browser CSS, JavaScript and AJAX & responsive design
    • Mobile development experience
    • Experience using JavaScript MVC frameworks, such as Angular JS, Backbone, or similar technology
    • Understanding of APIs and use them in practice
    • Knowledge of Object-Oriented programing
    • Ability to write effective unit and integration tests


  • UI/UX Designer

    In search of experienced UI/UX practitioner to be a part of the transformation to agile and user centred design  at the leading financial institution in Jamaica and the first to establish an Agile Lab in the English-speaking Caribbean


    Additional Responsibilities

    • Leverage design thinking principles to create intuitive and engaging user experiences and translate concepts into wireframes and mock ups
    • Collaborate with client and their customer on researching, conceiving, wire-framing, sketching, prototyping digital user experiences
    • Help to develop a cadre of UX designers within the organization


    Other Requirements

    • Expertise in UX software such as InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer.js, Quartz Composer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
    • Ability to collaborate and work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
    • Extensive experience in using visual and UX design best practices and mobile-first and responsive design.
    • A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies (e.g. A/B testing), subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment
    • Adaptable and flexible and embraces diversity
    • Experience in financial services or working in an emerging market environment
  • Solution Architects

    The Solution Architect will focus on converting the business and technical requirements into the architecture and design that is the blueprint for the proposed solution. They are knowledgeable of design patterns, published reference architectures, enterprise architecture principles. They will be required to design, develop, and analyze overall solution architecture to determine that hardware, software and data architecture solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.

    Qualifications and Skill Requirements

    • Tertiary level education e.g. First Degree in Computer Science/ Management Information Systems/ Computer Engineering or equivalent qualifications. 
    • Knowledge of design principles, Enterprise Architecture, solution documentation standards
    • Knowledge of Rapid development and deployment platforms, cloud infrastructure, Scrum Methodology
    • Knowledge of the technology stack – web, application, database and associated infrastructure. Some examples include: SQL & NoSQL: mongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL,Hadoop, IIS, Apache, WebSphere, Python, PHP, Java, .Net, Ruby
    • A combinations of business acumen, strong analytic and problem solving skills and some programming skills
  • Scrum Masters

    The Scrum Master is responsible for monitoring the scrum processes and scrum meetings for the Digital Lab Team assigned. He/She increases his team efficiency, motivates his team, spins, argues for changes that will ensure quality and timeliness. He ensures the DoD (Definition of done) is being followed. Works in tandem with the Product Owner to oversee the implementation of solutions according to the scrum implementation methodology.

    Qualifications and Skill Requirements

    • Tertiary level education e.g. First Degree in Management/Banking/Finance/Computer Science/ Management Information Systems or equivalent qualifications. 
    • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, Scrum.
    • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
    • Applicable knowledge of the technologies.
  • Agile Coach

    In search of experienced Agile Coach and IT practitioner to help drive the agile transformation at the leading financial institution in Jamaica and the first to establish an Agile Lab in the English-speaking Caribbean


    Additional responsibilities

    • Help to institutionalize robust software engineering practices that will enhance quality and flexibility e.g. automated testing, continuous integration, etc.
    • Help to develop a cadre of Agile Coaches within organization


    Other requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an agile development environment.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in computer programming/software engineering
    • One or more Expert-level Agile certification(s) - SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) etc. - Scaled Agile Framework experience preferred
    • Agile Certification/training, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile credentials plus exposure to other project methodologies e.g. Kanban and XP
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, solid verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to influence leaders at all levels within an enterprise.
    • Knowledge of tools for Agile development teams and able to train/mentor others in using
    • Adaptable and flexible and embraces diversity
    • Experience in financial services or working in an emerging market environment
  • Data scientists

    The data scientist will identify key data insights to inform opportunity areas for the business; applies strong expertise in machine-learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build analytics engines and services.

    Qualifications And Required Skills

    • MS in mathematics, computer science, statistics, operations research or related technical discipline
    • Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization or related field
    • Experience with R, Python, Matlab, programming in C, C++, Java
    • Experience working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.)
    • Highly Skilled in the use of BI Tools and Technologies — a strong understanding and experience of diverse business analytics tools and technologies such as analytic applications, reporting and data visualization applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross functional teams
    • Strong Business Analysis skills – highly effective in working with business leaders to understand the business context (goals, constraints, key criteria)
